"What village are we in, Mommy?"

I was holding Sadie's hand and hurrying her through the parking lot (at Park Nicollet Clinic) as Lauren was hanging from my arm in her infant seat, on the way to Lauren's ear check-up (this happen's every two weeks) when Sadie asked; "What village are we in, Mommy?"

I laughed.

I love how Sadie has the ability to "freeze time" in a busy, rushing-by moment. I stopped and thought a moment and told Sadie: "We're in St. Louis Park."

Sadie smiled and said, "Oh, Ok, Mom".

I love her.

So.

I could go on in great detail about how I wish ____________, ______________, and _____________ were not happening right now.

But, I will spare you the nitty gritty's. (A visit to the Gerber website tonight - of all places - really encouraged me to stay positive as a parent...! So, I will do just that, for the next 10 minutes, anyway. LOL.)

I would appreciate your prayers for health, safety and endurance for my husband, our girls and myself.

Thank you so much!

Also, I'm finally going to start The Love Dare (The book from the movie Fireproof). I've been procrastinating this looooong enough.

Life is such a gift!

my Sadiebelle

Sadie is "big now", she says. She has a new love for pony's and baby dolls. She is very nurturing to them. She's is also quite a little mommy to her 'Lil Nini' (Lauren). With age 4, has come much more incentive [for Sadie] to do things herself and ask questions. This is bliss. Most of the time.

Enjoy.

Here's a funny chat we had earlier:

Sadie: "What does fun mean?"

Me: "It means when you're doing something that makes you feel happy."

Sadie: "What does happy mean?"

Me: "It is... when you smile... and have a warm feeling in your heart."

Sadie: [silent pause.]

Sadie: "what's, it is?"

Me: "Oh, stop! You're joking me right?!?!"

[Sadie's vocabulary is expanding... funny, my patience is shortening. LOL.]

good golly Miss Molly

Molly turned 3 on June 7th (right, Andrea?). We threw a cozy 'lil birthday bash with yummy food, cake and gifts to celebrate Molly turning 3 and also "re-celebrate" Sadie turning 4 [as the Gutierrez's missed Sadie's Birthday bash].

John made 4 different yummy pizza's on the smoker (from scratch, he's amazing like that)! Leslie made an awesome salad, by far the tastiest form of vege's I had eaten in a while. And Andrea, outdid herself again by making delicious french bread and she also brought a nice assortment of fruit and "bewies" (Molly's word for berries). Here are a few pictures, to recap our fun party with some of our dearest friends.

lunch n' bath

Enjoy these pictures of Lauren eating [I fed her] lunch while Sadie and I bathed her in the kitchen sink. I think this concept is pure genius, if I do say so myself. ;)

sadie is 4

Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet Sadie!

Here she's dressed and ready for fun as a butterfly, waiting for birthday guests to arrive.

We celebrated with a bug theme birthday bash, right on her birthday (June 6th) with family and friends!
