One Fine Day

I am pretty sure that it doesn't get much better than Fall in Southern Minnesota... anywhere in Minnesota really! We had a blast outside tonight! We played in the leaves, picked pine cones, and played with the neighbors kitty as we walked the 'corn field trail'. Then we visited with our neighbors and they invited Sadie to pick some veggie's!

The Apple Orchard

Today we had a blast at the Apple Ridge Orchard! It's about 20 minutes outside of town. We went with my parents. Sadie's favorite part was riding the wagon behind the blue tractor!!! Copy and paste this link to see the pictures!

Sweet Dreams

Here are pictures of the Girls' finished room! Matching bed sheets, their names in white lettering above their beds... I'm really happy with how the pink, green and white look together! My mom did such a great job putting together almost the entire room. THANKS Mom!!!

Some new pictures...

Before Lauren arrived I envisioned that this blog would be flooded with fun pictures, like, every other day... but the reality is that there is hardly time to snap pictures, let alone upload them and put them on this blog...

Also, I am realizing that sometimes the camera holds me back from diving in all the way and getting on the floor and playing with my girls.

So...

Other than feeling completely overwhelmed and painfully tired at times, I feel INCREDIBLY blessed to be a mom to two healthy children :) I am realizing that motherhood is like a roller-coaster; the high's and the low's are all a part of the ride... Thank God for His endless Grace that helps me get through the adventures that each day brings!

...This cracks me up!

This picture was taken this past spring. Sadie had just started the potty training process, her pants were no longer held up by a puffy diaper, and her new panties along with her pants would slip down past her 'crack' when she bent over! This picture will haunt her when she's a teen we're sure! I imagine we'll pin it up at her high school graduation party ;-)

Also, yesterday was Baby Lauren's Open House, we had a great time with family and friends and TONS of good food!

One Month Old

One month ago today, Lauren arrived at 1:46 p.m. weighing 5lbs. 14oz. and measured 18 1/2 in. long!

She's healthy and strong! We're so thankful to have our little Bundle :)

It's so fun to watch these two get to know each other. How fun to know that these two will be lifelong friends as well as sisters... wow, what a gift to share in with them : )

Sadie's First Day of Pre-K!

This morning Sadie started her first day of school at St. John's Wee Care in Stewartville! She'll attend two mornings a week on Monday's and Wednesday's in the 3-year-old Caterpillars class.

As you can see she was ready to go! She didn't even turn back once she stepped foot in her classroom... luckily I said my goodbye's while she was going potty before I let her loose at her classroom door.

(sigh)

She's growing up... It's fun to watch her excitement to learn and meet new friends :) What a privilege it is to be her mom.

3 weeks old tomorrow...

Here are some fun shots I took this afternoon during a rare moment of 'nothing is needed right now'... Sadie was napping and Lauren had just ate. And as I type this with one hand, Lauren is nursing again. My life feels complete right now. My arms are full and my heart is happy!

Lauren turns 3 weeks old tomorrow. She weighed in yesterday at 6lbs. 6oz. She gained 13oz. in just one week! All the crazy feedings are paying off!
